Matthew is a planner, strategic thinker and businessman who has worked in market sectors ranging from leisure and travel (First Choice, British Rail), drinks (Guinness), entertainment (Bertelsmann Media Group) and financial (being part of the advertising team that helped fund management group Perpetual grow from £40m under management to £10bn, creating the most well known brand icon in investment management and become the second best performing FTSE share in the 1990s decade before selling to multi-national investment group Amvescap to become Invesco Perpetual).

Matthew founded his own advertising agency in the 1990s after working at agency groups such as Allen Brady and Marsh, Saatchi and Dorland.

He has run a herbs and salads farm (ethical and fresh foods are a passion) and also founded a boutique hotel group centred on leisure destinations with undiscovered and undervalued assets and ran this for five years, before starting Redm.
